Kiss My Sass Lip Glaze Review

I honestly don't even remember how I came across this brand but about 2 weeks ago I was going through my "favorites" tabs and this was on there.  I looked around on the Kiss My Sass website and was intrigued by their Lip Glazes.  They had sheer or pigmented ones to choose from. I of course chose the pigmented ones :)  I was so excited when I saw that I could purchase little sample jars for $2 to try out.  I picked my top 5 colors and received my package about a week later.  Inside my package was a handwritten card thanking me for my order (seriously, how amazing is that?!) plus 2 eyeshadow samples.  I really wasn't expecting much from these, I assumed they would show up in a little flip-top jar that leaked (seems to happen to me a lot). These were each individually wrapped with plastic and the jars have the cutest label on top!  I tried each of them out and fell in love.  The scent is described as a marshmallow scent, well when I smelt them it smelt like birthday cake, hubby came home and smelt them and said it smelt like marshmallow...my allergies have been so bad lately so that could be why my senses are off! LOL! I had planned on swatching these for you but I came across a bit of a problem, these glazes have such complex colors that it's hard to get a good picture of how beautiful these actually are! What you see in the jar is pretty much what goes on your lips. Very pigmented and gorgeous!

Lilac Skies
This color is a lilac with lots of silver shimmer throughout.  It's a bit more sheer than the rest but leaves a gorgeous lilac sheen on your lips.

Purple Rain
This one is a gorgeous purpley/violet with blue undertones.  It's purple when you look at it one way and then when you move it it changes to a gorgeous silvery shimmer! Amazing!

J'adore
I assumed this was going to be a sheer nude color...wow was I wrong! This is a gorgeous nude color with purple undertones! You can see the purple and blue in the picture! You can def see it when the light hits it the right way. Such a fun spin on a nude color.

Candy Clouds
This one is a bubble gum pink with lots of silver shimmer. It isn't as pigmented as the others but looks amazing when the light hits it.  It's a very fun shimmery color. You can see the silver shimmer in the picture!

Plastic Princess
This name is PERFECT! When I think of Barbie I think of bright neon pink...well this is it! It's a gorgeous neon pink that actually looks neon pink on my lips! It's so bright and fun and screams "BARBIE!" One of my favorites, for sure!

So those are the 5 I purchased! I am so happy with all of them, I plan on buying more in the future!  They are $2 for these 1g jars or $10 for a 10g squeeze tube
These can be purchased at the Kiss My Sass website http://kissmysasscosmetics.com/ They have lip glazes, lip jelly, eyeshadow, bronzer, blush, eye primer and more! Be sure to check them out, the prices are great!

I'd love to hear from you all, is there a color you have your eye on?

Five-Faves-Friday Vol 6

Well, no exciting news to report about this week...didn't really do much except plan our 1 year wedding anniversary trip for next month and we decided on Las Vegas.  We have family there and try to visit Vegas at least 2x a year. It's one of my favorite places to visit because I know it so well AND well, IT'S VEGAS!!!! So during my week of planning these are 5 of my favorite things of the week!

Double Stuff Oreo's
I have always been obsessed with Oreo's since I was a wee one.  Efren & I used to always keep these stocked in our pantry but over the past year and a half we have really been trying to watch what we eat.  We haven't purchased a bag of these babies in over a year!!! I made a huuuge mistake by going to get "just a few things" from the grocery store...on an empty stomach I will add...and left with these.  Now, I probably could of just walked right past the cookies and been fine, but no, not this time. They had an Oreo monument right smack in the middle of Wal-Mart! It's Oreo's 100th birthday, I mean, it would just be mean to the Oreo to NOT buy any.  So we spent this week celebrating Oreo's birthday by stuffing our face with these magical sandwich cookies.

So I am a huge Pinterest addict and I love pinning different foods to make from there.  From that fabulous site I discovered Plain Chicken! Since I'm a picky eater and pretty much only eat chicken this perfect for me! I've probably made at least 30 meals from this site! I absolutely love it! It's not just all chicken, there's other recipes too.  This week I made French Dip Roll-Ups, Bubble Up Enchiladas, & Chicken Pot Pie Casserole....mmmmm! Are you hungry yet?

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Shine in 30 - Shimmering Pink

I've always been a fan of YSL's makeup; the packaging is to die for, it's so classy and elegant & always makes me feel glamourous! When I first got this lipstick, I was so disappointed with it! I was expecting a nice bright pigmented pink with lots of shine.  I probably should of read about the Pur Shine's before...these aren't as pigmented as normal lipsticks but have a gorgeous sheen to them.  This week I have been loving this! It's a very frosty shimmery baby pink that has been perfect for the looks I have been achieving.  I was able to turn my YSL frown upside down :)

Organix Repairing Awapuhi Ginger Dry Styling Oil

I recently did a haul about drug store products on my YT Channel  and in this video I talked about me just starting to get into some drug store items.  I've never really shopped for beauty products at Wal-Mart or Walgreens but everyone has such great things to say about certain products.  During my Walgreens shopping trip I came across the brand Organix, I've never heard of it before but they were all BOGO free! I picked this as well as a Coconut Milk oil thingy (still haven't tried that one).  I have thin hair so I've been loving how this doesn't weigh it down or make it greasy. Oh, and the smell is amazzzzzzzzzzing!

Coastal Scents Liquid Corrector in White

It's that time of year where I'm starting to tan (fake bake) and need to "up" my shade in foundation.  Well, I'm still too light for my next shade up and the one I'm using it too light for me. Solution: use this liquid corrector in the darker color! Tada! Perfect color! I have one of these in my professional kit as well! I love it! It doesn't alter the foundation formula or anything, just lightens it perfectly.

Well, friends, there ya have it! My 6th Five-Faves-Friday post! Wow!

I hope you all have a beautiful weekend!

Until next time,

11 Questions Tag!

Oooh fun, fun!! I was tagged by Stephanie at http://thenewbeautyreview.blogspot.com/ Her blog seriously rocks! She’s always got some fab stuff going on :)

 You must post these rules.
- Each person must post 11 things about themselves on their blog.
- Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post and create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
- You have to choose 11 people to tag and link them on the post.
- Go to their page and tell them you have linked him or her.
- No tag backs.
- No stuff in the tagging section about 'you are tagged if you are reading this'. You legitimately have to tag 11 people.

Questions from Stephanie:

What does the word "Beauty" mean to you?
Beauty means feeling great about yourself! When you feel beautiful, you look beautiful!  I believe that beauty is also something within, it’s not always what’s on the outside that makes a person beautiful!

What are your favorite makeup & skincare products?
Oh goodness, I have soo many…my go-to products are MAC Studio Fix Fluid, NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Sex Machine,  MAC Breath of Plum blush, my Clarisonic Mia, Olay 2-in-1 Cleansing Cloths and Indie Lee The Body Scrub

            Favorite movie?
Elf, Romy & Michelle’s High School Reunion and Big Daddy

Who do you love most in the world?
My family, friends and the feeling of being happy with yourself!

If you could meet any celebrity, who would it be and why?
Lisa Kudrow, she always plays such a dingy (albeit hilarious) character but she is soooo intelligent! I’ve always thought she would be so entertaining to have lunch with! Oh, Kathy Griffin is another that would be fun to meet!

What's the best part about being "you"?
Exactly that…I’m ME! Everyone is unique in their own way and that is what makes everyone so amazing and interesting!

What trait do you dislike most in others?
Rudeness, people who think they are better than others (I’m a firm believer that NO one is better than someone else! We are all equal!) and of course, bad drivers :)

      What makes you feel glam?
Platform pumps, full lashes, a smoky eye, chiseled cheeks, & a shiny baby pink lip!

       Favorite food?
Anything fried! I LOVE fried food! Fried food & candy are my 2 weaknesses :(

Who influences you most in your field?
I've been a fan of Megan Martinez (Chaos Makeup Artist) for a while now! She is so inspirational and amazingly talented! I always look at her work for inspiration.

If you could travel to any destination, where would you go?
Dubai, Bora Bora & Phuket!

My 11 questions for you!

1. Do you have any phobias or really dislike something?
2. What is the last book you read?
3. Lipstick or gloss? What's your favorite brand/shade?
4. What's your cocktail of choice?
5. What's one quality you'd like to develop in yourself?
6. If you could have any occupation in the world, what would it be and why?
7. What is your guilty pleasure?
8. When do you feel most beautiful?
9. If money wasn't an object, where would you go for a dream vacation?
10. What is your favorite high-end beauty item and drugstore beauty item?
11. Living or dead, who would you most like to sit & talk with and why?

Tag! You're it!

If you can't participate, that's okay! I understand :)

Five-Faves-Friday Vol 5

Goood morning beautiful (and handsome) readers! I have had such an amazing week via Twitter & YouTube & here! I feel so loved by you all and the feeling is definitely mutual ;)
I truly wish I could give each and every one of you reading this a huuuuuge hug.  I'm also very excited because my amazing friend Lauren over at http://laurenslodown.blogspot.com/ just started her blog.  Her posts are hilarious, I am so happy for her!

This week I have 2 food-related items & 3 beauty items (woot woot)

Spaghetti Squash
Now in a few of my previous posts I've mentioned what a picky eater I am, I also forgot to tell you that I despise vegetables.  When I discovered this squash I didn't know it was a vegetable (DOH!) I went to Farmer's (a little grocery store in town) & randomly picked a squash.  I got home & spent hours of online research trying to figure out the best way to cook it.  I settled for the microwave (I can post how I prepare my squash if anyone is interested). We eat ours with red sauce (or gravy, for you gorgeous Italians!) and parmesan cheese...I really forgot how much I missed it until we had it for dinner this week! Mmmmmm! I always feel so healthy after eating this! It tastes just like spaghetti sans carbs! Voila!

Coffee-Mate Pumpkin Spice Creamer

Puuuuuummpkiiiin spiiiice, oooh how I love yooooou! (that was a song, I just made it up) I'm a Keurig lover & not a fan of flavored coffee. This makes any coffee taste like magic in a cup.  I went to a grocery store here in town and bought the last two (powdered creamers) they had for the season! This stuff is so amazing! I use it every single day in my coffee! When I'm feeling real funky, I'll make it in iced coffee (I'm fancy) I'm trying to come up with a plan when I run out in a few months...I won't be able to go until October without my Pumpkin Spice Creamer!!!!

Bath & Body Works Coconut Lime Verbena Moisturizing Soap
In the summer, I'm an avid couponer. Last summer I picked up like 25 bars of soap (which I was paid to take out of the store...woot woot) so I learned how to make my own hand soap with these bars of body soap! Very domestic of me, right?! Well, I noticed my jug was empty so I was searching around and found this baby under my sink! I used to use these ALL the time! Every time B&BW would have a sale I would leave with a bag full of the soaps. I am obsessed with staying clean & germ free so I wash my hands about...eh....72 times a day. It really dries them out! Well when I used this I forgot how moisturizing this hand soap is! PLUS it smells like summer! Mmmmmm!

Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss

I sent my fab friend Lauren a goody box and stumbled upon these.  I've seen them on all the forums, blogs, review sites etc., but never tried them.  I picked up 2 in Peach Kiss, one for me & one for her.  I got in the car & tried this...EEEK! I love! It's as if a lipstick, gloss & lip balm had a baby! It's a really pretty peachy nude color. Very flattering! I've used it almost every day this week.  They are super affordable, I plan on picking up every color when my Target restocks. Plus, how cute is the tube?!

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler
I will start this off by saying what a skeptic I was about this...I know it's a "cult-favorite" but I just couldn't bring myself to pay $20 for something like this and risk it not even being that great! Well...my amazing friend Debbie in South Korea sent me this (AHHH!) and turned me into a Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler fanatic! This thing makes my lashes curl so beautifully and it actually stays all day! You can just feel what a high quality item this is when you're holding it. I absolutely love love love this!

So lovelies, have you tried Spaghetti Squash? Used Baby Lips? I'd love to hear from you guys! Reading your comments make me smile!

Until next time,
